The 0845 numbers to any JOB CENTRE PLUS office are call centre numbers. It is a Government office and are located all over the UK. [not abroad] so therefore a 'geographical' number would not be advertized anywhere. I hope this answers your query. A suggestion though, the next time you visit your Job Centre Plus ask the Floor Manager for a local office number. I feel sure that they will oblige.

I tried to log a jobseekers (unemployment benefit) claim today Wed 27-12-2006 on 0845 6042757
and got a message saying they were not open on public holidays. It is not a public holiday!!!!. Just another part of the governments scam to discourage claiments. There is also no answer at the local office (presumable closed too). There is nothing on their website to say when they are open.
Searched their website for 0845 6042757 , no hits. They really try to make it as difficult as possible to make a claim.

Jobcentre plus sucks they are the pits ..................

The old number for the aylesbury job center of 01296 314700 has been disabled, HOWEVER, the number range remains the same.

A bit of checking and I found that some of the personal advisors are on 314731 to 314739, there may be more up and down but those are what I tested.

However, another way is to call the main switchboard on 01603 248701 and ask for Aylesbury job Centre as if you had dialled the 0845 number
