Missed call: 0844 7705580 (Read 5,102 times)

pg2114 Newbie Offline Posts: 1	Missed call: 0844 7705580 May 26^th, 2006 at 9:58pm I have missed a call on my mobile from 0844 7705580. I have Googled this number, but I cannot find any matches. Does anyone know who this is, please? Thanks.

Two things spring to mind.

Have you considered that, if the call was of an urgent nature, they would have called again by now? Had they done so, receipt of the call would have cost you nothing.

In reality, the call was probably from a firm trying to get you to call them back so they can make money from their cut of the call charge you will pay.

Forget it.

After years of ignoring govt. guidelines & RIPPING OFF Council Tax payers using 0845 numbers, Essex County Council changed to 0345 numbers on 2 November 2015

0844 770 numbers cost 5p/minute to call from a BT residential landline - so they probably weren't trying to make the OP call them to make money from the callback (well, not much money anyway).

OTOH, they were trying to sell him a phone!
