The database has various numbers for Traveline. 01772 824444 is in the unverified database under "Stagecoach" and is described as "Ribble (NW) Services from Manchester & Preston through to Blackpool & Fleetwood, return."

Try Googling traveline 01946 and traveline 01772. A glance of those results shows that Traveline Cumbria's website is www.traveline-cumbria.co.uk and a check of the site on Internet Archive revealed that they have been promoting the 0870 since at least July 2001.

This area is not covered by a public transport executive. Areas that are are shown here. Do you know whether there is such a body or do you contact the bus companies directly?

Also, are there any websites similar to Traveline Cumbria that are promoted around the area? Perhaps we can look at them on the Internet Archive to see if they used to use geographical numbers.

There isn't one. We have made extensive searches to locate the 01/02 alternative numbers for all the individual Traveline call centres. A full list of the call centres is here. If you search the database for traveline, all the verified entries it returns are the official call centres which the 0871 2002233 (and the former 0870 6082608) number puts you through to. There may be some unverified entries under "Traveline", but they are not the official ones.

You are after the number for Traveline East Midlands which provides information for Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Peterborough, as indicated in the table.

There are three Travelines we haven't found yet: South West (), South East () and East Midlands.

All these are operated by Telephone Information Masters of Exeter, as shown here.

What is your enquiry regarding? Can you do the same enquiry on the East Midlands Traveline website?

At present, the best I can suggest is you call the 0870 number through 18185's 020 access number which will come from your inclusive minutes and the call to the 0870 number will cost a 4p connection charge plus 3p/min mon-fri and 1p/min at the weekend.

i looked at that site but its for landline users, i'm talking about if i am out and about and need to find out a timetable for a bus to catch i would need to use my mobile.
