This is true only to the extent that ICSTIS website will inform you which telephone company originally owned that number but due to number portability, it may be incorrect.

Although calls to 084x/087x are a premium rate in that they cost more than a geographical calls, calls to them are NOT regulated by ICSTIS so therefore they can't/won't help except to tell you which telephone company the number originally belonged to.

However, from around January 2008, calls to 0871 will be regulated by ICSTIS.
