Has anybody noticed that on the Wright Stuff programme of a morning they have changed there 0870 to a local no. 0207 173 5555 but are stating that all calls are charged at 10p per minute. Does anybody know why they are allowed to charge this rate for this call. I thought all local calls had set rates. How will we know in the future wether we are paying for a local call or for this extra charge if we do not have a special code to reconize the no.
I understand that it was an 0871 number charged at 10 pence per minute that they used to use. The 020 number cannot be charged at 10 pence per minute (unless a particular telephone provider does so).
I therefore suspect that this text has been left there from the previous number.
If they are displaying it on screen as 0207 173 5555, then advise them that it should be as they have it
on the website, 020 7173 5555. The code for London is 020 and not 0207.
