Which line is it you're after?

As far as I can work out they operate two information lines:-

• HSE Infoline - 0845 345 0055 - This is first point of call according to their website but ringing one of their offices local to you as listed here would be cheaper still.
• Report an Incident Infoline - 0845 3009923 - This is used for reporting incidents, etc.  This service is operated by:-

02920 266200 is listed as the Info line for Incident Reporting in the Verified database.  There are also some other entries in the Unverified database as well.

I couldn't find any reference to 0870 on either site so it could be they've changed the numbers to 0845 but still keep the old ones in use for those that aren't aware they've changed numbers and in the mean time can earn money from the call.

Could you clarify which specific line you're after and check the numbers listed in both databases to see if they're of any help to you.

Sorry if I was not clear on this: the number I would like is a geographic one for their INFOLINE.  The 0871 number I quoted was an old one, and you rightly mentioin that it is now 0845.  The Incident Contact Centre is only for notifying Reportable Injuries, etc.

Yes, one can ring the local offices but they rarely have the answer to anything other than a simple query, and refer you to the INFOLINE.  Itis a number that apparently is called a great deal, so anyone who can find an alternative will be greatly appreciated.
