Try:

P&O Ferries
CHANNEL HOUSE CHANNEL VIEW ROAD
DOVER
KENT
CT179TJ

01304 863 000
01304 863 223 fax

or you can call them in Rotterdam, Holland.   Their number there is: 00 31 020 201 3333.  If you call via via 0844 200 7575 it only costs 1/2p per minute

Thanks very much.  I use SKYPE for most of my phone calls so will see which one is the cheapest.

If you search the database for p&o you will find that there are several geographical numbers.  Wink

Being a regular booker of P&O Ferries, I had a collection of their geographical numbers. Making a call to them today, it appears all their geographical numbers have the message that their new number is 08705 202020. I wonder if anyone has a new geographical number?

What numbers did you used to use that no longer work?

Have you tried all the numbers in the database? If any don't work, please report them on here as the only way to get them removed is to tell us!

Thank you Dave for your quick response. In my anger and frustration being referred to their new non geographical number 08705 202020 on all the numbers in my data base I removed them. It appears all the numbers listed in this sites Main data base for P&O Ferries no longer exist. However, the good news is someone has posted in the unverified data base 01304 863000 and that still works, until P&O find out.

They worked a few weeks ago as I tried them and amended the entries. I also found the alternatives to their Travel Line service 0871 2002444, which were 01304 864015 and 016. Now they also redirect to the 0870. So it seems that someone at P&O Ferries has looked at the numbers in our database and cut them off.

Not to worry because there are more 01304 numbers that worked that are similar and it's a simple case of trying some more.

For reference, numbers removed are: 01304 864156 & 01304 864002 /3 /4 /5 These had reservations and customer services menu on. Also, 01304 864241 went straight to an operator. 01304 864500 was also customer services.

Here goes from 01304 8640xx:

Key
  • > 0870 redirector
  • ! Will shortly be discontinued, gives 0870 and then puts you through to %
  • % Starts off "Here at P&O some of the best deals are online. Log on to...", then gives menu which is same as 0870: Opt 1: Dover->Calais; Opt 2: Hull->Rotterdam/Zeebrugge; Opt 3: Portsmouth->Bilbao; Opt 4: P&O Irish Sea (redirects to 0870 2424777)
  • $ Menu: Opt 1: New reservations; Opt2: Changes to existing reservations; Opt 3: Any other enquiry. This is the next level menu when option 1, 2 or 3 is selected on % menu.
  • € No answer

00 Administrative office; menu option 1 connects to %
01 >
02 >
03 >
04 >
05 >
06 Customer support
07 $
08 %
09 %
10 %
11 !
12 %
13 %
14 %
15 >
16 >
17 %
18 Menu: Bookings, enquiries & accounts for freight and tourists
19 Coach & Group Services; Opt 1 goes to $
20 €
21 %
22 %
23 %
24 %
25 Customer support

You get the idea. There are loads of other numbers that work that follow on. I have discovered the new Travel Line number which is now in the database.  Wink

01304 864088 goes straight through to operator.

That would be 00 31 20 201 3333 without the 0 on the area code? (And would make it an Amsterdam number, not Rotterdam. A pedant writes...)

I have always been unsure what to call the Low Countries: Holland or the Netherlands (or indeed the Low Countries).

Does one or the other impinge on sensitivities? Can you provide guidance?

08716 645645 - the replacements listed: one is no longer valid, and the other only works in office hours.
ON a bank holiday, for example, it doesn't work.

Thanks!

Which numbers? Please provide the number here as they won't get removed if we aren't told which don't work!

What is the purpose of the 0871 6645645 number? Customer services, reservations etc?

You say you have tried two numbers, but there are more than that listed for P&O Ferries. Search the database for p&o ferries for all entries relating to it.

At a glance, I suspect that P&O Ferries is one such company which has gone from 0870 to 0871 at 10p/min, which means that the entries in our database need amending accordingly. Your help with this is much appreciated.
