Based on the above I would try the number before the fax: 0161 903 8970

A search of 192.com doesn't even reveal an entry for that hotel with the 0870 number. A quick search using Google reveals nothing either. Perhaps it's a new hotel and the 0161 number has never been given out.

Please have look at the instructions for posting a request. Include any information you have that may help people on here to locate a number. Typically an address and website address are useful, and in this case they can be found on the Travelodge website.

Thank you 'very nice man', but I am sorry, I don't understand your reply. What is the 8970 you mention? And why doesn't it exist after 22.44.
Regarding the number Dave gave, that just gets me a tone which I don't recognise. ? un-obtainable.

Thank you VERY much for the kind & helpful suggestions. However, I think that I now have to give up. Having tried & failed with Dave's suggestion I went to the Search for 'Travelodge' and found a 'proper' number for their Central Manchester hotel. I rang them & I asked if they had an alternative to the 0870 number for the Airport hotel. The young lady was SO helpful - she didn't have another number, but offered to call the Airport hotel and ask. I rang her back 10 minutes later & she had failed to get through - no-one was answering the phone. She had then sent them a fax asking for an alternative number. This was at 10am UK time. I have just rung her back (2pm UK time) and she not only has failed to get through to them on the 0870 number, but has had no reply to her fax either. She was most apologetic - as though it was her fault. I thanked her for all her trouble. As I said above, I think that I now have to give up - if she can't get through, what hope do I have. However, if they are this inefficient I wonder how I shall get on once I arrive! Many, many thanks to your Website for trying to help.
