That looks fine Dave. I can't understand the switchboard entry myself - probably just easier to remove it. I'm not entirely sure either about the non-geographic (never used it myself), I only knew of the geographic alternative.

The relevant thread for the university is here. Not alot to go on.

I would be very suprised if the 'official' numbers aren't 0870.  Undecided

I was also in Tapton in 2005, but never really paid much attention to the non-geographic. Didn't use the phone system myself until a friend of mine told me of the geographic alternative (which I promptly spread to other friends Smiley.

I've just noticed a spelling mistake in the database. Both entries for JANET (Joint Academic Network) have the incorrect abbreviation of UKERA (United Kingdom Education and Research Networking Association) - the correct spelling is UKERNA, and the website is www.ukerna.ac.uk. Can you correct that please?

Also, the Unite Group (correct spelling UNITE Group) alternative for 0845 111 0021 is not correct. All UNITE Bristol numbers begin 0117 302 7xxx (915 xxxx is not a range owned by UNITE, 907 8xxx was their old range). Can this entry be removed from the database?

This appears to have already been done.

The Unite website gives 0117 302 7000, is this a suitable replacement?

I suspect it should be - subject to obvious switchboard opening hours. I've not had any need to call that number, but I assume the switchboard can transfer you. The main use of the 0845 number (as far as I can ascertain) is to provide contact to the control room in case of an emergency at a UNITE residence, so people will have to use it if the switchboard is closed and there is an emergency.

I've just added a new entry for the Nectar Helpline (now 0844 811 0 811). If you want to merge the existing Helpline numbers then that would be appreciated. I assume the underlying number hasn't changed. Again, another 5ppm number but atleast they didn't go for a 10ppm number like some companies we know of... Roll Eyes
