If the switchboard tells you to ring the 0845 number say that  outgoing calls to numbers starting with 08 are barred from where you are calling and would they please transfer you.

Prefix the switchboard number with 141, i.e. dial 141 0161 228 8100

It has now worked for me, I had earlier tried on a Sunday.

First Transpennine Express' 0845 number may be answered in Plymouth at First Great Western's office, see here.

First Transpennine Express (FTPE) appear to have changed most of their contact numbers to 034 see here

The only one that does not appear to have changed is their Customer Relations number.. which is rather odd..

The numbers are:

Telesales: 0345 678 6974
Season Tickets: 0345 678 6965
Group travel/Cycle reservation: 0345 600 1674
Lost property: 0345 600 1672
Website Support: 0344 556 5637

I have just tried 0345 600 1671 the alternative that should be listed by FTPE for their Customer Relations number and can confirm it does indeed work, despite NOT being listed by them.

I will look to get these listings updated.
