Very interesting article in the Daily Mail today. It specifies British Gas, but they are only as bad as the others mentioned:

...and just look at the comments that have been added! The majority of them show how angry people are becoming about these rip-off premium numbers being used for complaints or problems.

Word is finally getting out there.
