I have moved and split off from the e-petition thread the discussions surrounding mostly the Congestion charge and other stealth taxes to this thread.  I do realise that I'm to blame for starting this and that kk was just replying to my post.

Sadly no one usually as the several murders committed by police officers of innocent citizens in recent times without a prosecution seems to prove.  There is always this dreadful establishment closing of ranks to back the actions of a Police officer murdering a civilian no matter how incompetent or atypical their actions may be of the Police force at large.

The idea seems to be that if you don't back a Policeman no matter how unreasonable his/her actions may have been the whole system of always obeying the orders of the Police to the absolute letter will collapse.
