National Rail Traintracker
Feb 22nd, 2007 at 10:06am

Hi there, does anyone have the geographical number for the railway info line 'traintacker' please? It's very useful to use and accurate up to the minute, but costs a fortune!!
The current number is: 0871 2004950.
Before anyone says I haven't checked-I went thru all the suggested procedures with google, and it returned results with the same number. I even checked the ATOC website, which is quite happy to publicise the 10p a minute charge, but no alternative number. Just wondered, as somone had found the National Rail Enquiries geo number, whether it'd be the same, or similar?
If anyone could find this, I would be most grateful.
Adele

The thread for National Rail Enquiries is here.

Unfortunately in this country you are expected to pay a fortune for information like this. Whilst a call from a landline will typically be 10p/min, calls from mobiles will be at least two or three times that.

I doubt that we'll find an alternative. If it's live departures and timetables whilst you're out and about, have you tried National Rail's WAP  site?

Hi People,

I am new to the forum.

Just wanted to share that +44(0)20 7278 5240 for National Rail Enquires works FINE by using CALLING CARD. I just got the information by speaking to an adviser 5 minutes ago.

The steps i followed:
1) Dial the calling card number.
2) Enter the pin
3) When asked - enter 0044 207 278 5240 ---and bingo...!
I had 16p balance on my calling card - after a 5 minute call it was 12p - so its 4p for 5 mins which is not bad at all.

Good luck

You can call Central Trains' enquiry line on 0121 6342040 and select option 1 to be put through to National Rail Enquiries.  Wink

Number for TrainTracker is 020 11048060 or 020 11048102 or 020 11048115

020 11048020 requests PIN for Traintracker

020 11048050 says that the "I'm a Celebrity" vote lines are closed.

Other competition numbers nearby as well as other companies like Scottish Power Manweb.
