I need a number for the DSS at Hanley Stoke on Trent, the number I have been given is 0845 6088673, as you can expect they keep you hanging on for ages trying to sort out your claim.
Surely the Government should realise that people making a claim haven't got money to waste on an 0845 number for 30 minutes at a time with the promise of someone getting back to you, which they never do.

Social Security is now handled by Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). Searching 192.com for things like companies with the name 'pensions' in Stoke on Trent reveals nothing. However, on entering 'department' an entry comes up:

SOCIAL SECURITY DEPARTMENT

PARADISE STREET
NEWCASTLE
STAFFORDSHIRE
ST5 1RS
