Bit off topic, I suppose but doesn't this headline article I saw today just sum up the prevalent attitude to communications costs in the UK today? "How much can we squeeze from the suckers who live there or visit the place....."

Quite predictable:

Ticket booking lines 0871 this, 090X that, 0844 other, text SCAM to 89999 (One fifty per text, no way to cancel; ha ha we've got ya now 'cos ICSTIS is a bunch of wkers)
Travel information lines ditto
Airline and airport information ditto
Government travel advice ditto

An international event that UK providers can exploit hundreds of thousands of people with the regulators sat on their backsides with their heads entrenched inside.

Oh what a lovely country!

Agree about the wi-fi issue - travelling around here, many cheap and mid range hotels/motels provide free wi-fi.
