141 as posted above by dave (i think) doesnt always work as i use 118 333 directory inquires, they return a txt with the number requested even tho i put 141 b4 the number   0161 951 00 17 ,
i use BT landline with txt capabilities (200 free p/m) but they always send a txt even tho i fone using the 141 prefix ..

how is this ?  

p.s i am not charged for the txt as a payment for the service, i checked with bt accounts ,
just incase i got one HUGE fone bill thumping thro my letterbox.
