Premier Travel Inn Chester Central South

For some reason there is difficulty getting to the add alternative number facility today and I had real problems leaving a message but managed it eventually using the Firefox browser - for some reason, IE is not acceptable at the moment!

Although I have made reservations at various Travel Inns via their sister inns, many don't like it, unless you are reserving with them as well and they will refer you on with the 0870 number.  They will happily take a reservation with themselves and cancel elsewhere for you, giving all the usual reference and cancellation numbers but rarely will another inn be helpful with making initial reservations for another inn, this is what central reservations is for.   Obviously, reception staff at these places are very busy, they are multi-tasking for their own facility as well as trying to get their own excellent service award for their own work place.

Most recently, because I couldn't get a reservation at the inn I wanted via central reservations, I looked for a geographical number  for both of the inns covering the city of Chester.  There was only one geographical number on this site. Consequently, I was forced to make one call on an 0870 number  I did get a reservation by making the direct call for some of my dates.  I phoned the second Inn on the geographical number available on this site and got the remainder of my reservation needs with that inn.

For reference, I  have managed to obtain the geographical number of the inn that was not listed on the site.  Premier Travel Inn Chester Central S.E  01244 - 315766.  It works, I have used it.   Smiley

This number is for the associated Brewer's Fayre restaurant. See here for the page on the Brewer's Fayre website giving contact details. Did you have to ask to be put through or did the person who answered take your reservation?

Hi Dave,

The number went through to the Inn reception when I used it. I can advise you though, this number was given to me by a knowledgeable source and I have had no problems with it.

I have used many of the Travel Inn numbers from this 'no to 0870' site and if the receptionist is busy the numbers sometimes get diverted to the attached restaurant/bar, if there is one, as they are often a combined facility.

Would you happen to know what The County Hall London, Travel Inn geographical number comes under?  It was on your main listings in part of 2006, but the last time I wanted to obtain it, the number had disappeared.  Their restuarant is called  'Slice', but who this Inn is franchised to, I haven't a clue.  If I did, I might be able to get the number under another guise.

The address is:
Quote:
London County Hall
Belvedere Road
London
SE1 7PB

T: 0870 238 3300
F: 020 7902 1619

I have a AA Members' Handbook from 1999-2000 and it gives 020 79021600, which is similar to the fax number. Please let me know whether this works and I will put it in the database.

I tried the old County Hall Number your AA book offered; the reply tells you the number has changed and the customer is directed to the internet booking service, central reservations or given an 0870 number instead, probably the one you gave me, the very number I am trying to avoid using!  So, if anyone has a viable geographical telephone number for County Hall it would be very welcome.

Thank you for your help.  You never know, we might hit the jackpot...  Smiley

Well the number I gave along with the fax is such a big clue that you're going to have to do the rest of the work for yourself!

We know that the 020 79021600 number is still in service and that they simply have it answer with a recording. As I noted above, it is similar to the fax, so perhaps they have a block of numbers that start at 1600.......

Yes- I had thought of that, but maybe they have too.  It is a device that I notice has been investigated before by intrepid  geo number seekers but one that often does not turn up results.  It doesn't always follow on that a fax number will give access to a reserved bank of consecutive numbers, companies have got wise to the ploy suggested and avoid such numbering.

The hitting of the Jackpot may still be possible...
