Jury Central Summoning Bureau
Apr 17th, 2007 at 10:58am

Hi

Im trying to call the Jury Central Summoning Bureau on "0845 3555567" I seem to wait for ages and then they hang up costing me money. Does anyone know a better number? Or how to come across one - I'm new and still learning.
The address if that might help is:
The Court Service
FREEPOST LON 19669
Pocock Street
London SE1 OYG
http://www.cjsonline.gov.uk/juror/contacts/index.html
Thanks,
Victoria

A check of 192.com for businesses on Pocock Street in London reveals Blackfriars Crown Court, tel 020 7922 5800.

It may be based there. Ring up and ask if they can put you through.  Undecided

Please come back and say whether it works or not.

Brilliant idea...

I got through to the local court, they then transferred me to the Jury Central Summoning Bureau post room. Unfortunately I couldn't get any further, however the post woman was very nice and managed to answer the question I had.

Thanks very much  Smiley

Victoria

p.s. should I now add the number...even if it didn't quite get to the right place...?

I was initially going to say no.

However, put it in an put a comment in the Other Info box that it is Blackfriars Crown Court and the caller will have to ask to be put through.

Jury Central Summoning Bureau

With the info I rec'd from the Jury Central Summoning Bureau I received a separate slip announcing their new low cost number. They had changed their 0845 number for another 0845 number. I explained my irritation to this (particularly as this was a good opportunity to change to a Geo No) and I was put onto a supervisor. It was their 2nd complaint on the same day about this so they wanted more info which I gave them. The person I spoke to was unaware of the issue and seemed genuinely concerned. I expect the issue will die when it travels up the food chain, but the person I spoke to seemed genuine and helpfully I got a number of geo numbers from them when I requested them by email. Here they are:

020 7202 6806
020 7202 6833
020 7202 6825
020 7202 6826
020 7202 6814

These are all direct lines of people who can help with enquiries.

Going by this pattern, perhaps there is a switchboard on 020 7202 6800. Undecided
