Better still close the NatWest account and tell 'em why.
I have been toying with doing just that on my 25 year old NatWest account for a while and have just axed the Gold Plus service that included annual travel insurance but required you to pay on a Mastercard to be covered that I was then being charged extra for more and more.
Nationwide have just agreed to give me a free £5,000 overdraft facility at only 7% compared to NatWest Gold Plus at 12% but I still have some slight sentimental attachments to my account with the Exeter University branch of NatWest. NatWest staff in Exeter are excellent and very helpful. The board of the Royal Bank of Scotland who now own NatWest are a bunch of devious crooks who have brought in 101 different hidden charges including disgarceful fees for overseas credit and debit card use.
