Just rung Belkin tech support on their new 0845 number, at the begining of the call a recorded message says "If you are ringing from a mobile phone your network provider may charge you for this call" surely as it's an 0845 number no matter how you call you will be charged, could they possibly think this is a freephone number.

Why have you called the 0845 number when there is a geographical and freephone alternative in the database?

It used to be an 00800 (international freephone) number - which connected callers to their call centre in India but that just has an announcement directing you to the 0845 number now..

After years of ignoring govt. guidelines & RIPPING OFF Council Tax payers using 0845 numbers, Essex County Council changed to 0345 numbers on 2 November 2015
