Please have a look at the instructions for posting a request. Lack of information means you're less likely to be successful in getting an alternative.

I presume this refers to Virgin Media. NTL is an old name.
What is the 0870 number for (which department)?
What is the address? You say it is in Newport. Is this Newport, Gwent or Newport, Isle of Wight?
What are you expecting them to call you back about?

Whether it is just another number for Virgin Media customer services, I don't know...

See http://www.simplebroadband.co.uk/broadband/providers/ntl+freedom for more information about it. The 0870 number was for customer services, but is now (according to http://www.ntlfreedom.com/) for people to upgrade to Virgin Media packages instead.
