Brunswick Collection Services

I have just found this site through an article in Can Do Magazine which caters for disabled people.

I was particularly disturbed when , after I searched for a Debt Collecting agency's geographical number, that I got the unobtainable tone when I tried to use it Sad

Could it be that the company has discovered SAYNOTO0870.COM and they've gotten wise to people trying to save money? It's ridiculous that people with any form or debt have to make expensive calls to the very companies who should be making things easier for them.... or am I wrong.... what do you think?

How long is a piece of string?

It's possible, although they may have moved. Or it may be an old geographical number that they have stopped using to get revenue from their 087x number.

What is the company? What is the 087x number? What is the 01/02 number in question? The only way a number will get removed is if you tell us.

The company haven't moved as far as I know, but maybe I'm wrong... who knows... first time I get a number and I run into problems... Grin

I called this number just now (in the evening) and the security man answered, so it is likely to be the switchboard number. Try the number during office hours and please report back how you got on.

Who does this debt collection agency work on behalf of? What is its address?

However when I do a search, another site suggests that they belong to Clydesdale Bank. Do you know which companies were dealing with the debt prior to Brunswick?

He confirmed that Brunswick Collection Services operate from that location. So it looks like my previous web search may be wrong.

There is certainly a Clydesdale Bank connection:

The Yorkshire Bank branch is at 53 Harrogate Rd (phone 0113 269 4223). Brunswick Collections are listed as being in 55 Harrogate Rd. The two addresses may or may not be the same building.

Come to think of it the debt is with Clydesdale Mastercard although we ended up with Brunswick after their solicitor passed it on. I should have thought about that one... thanks for the info though and the number I'll add it to my list of phone number and hopefully save myself from further problems.

Not your fault, I should have checked my mail for the alert about the replies!

It's great being able to find cheaper ways of phoning these faceless beaurocrats so thanks for your help on this one.... It does help to be able to do this..

You were right with the number Johnny and it is the Yorkshire Bank switchboard. I got through and asked for Brunswick Collection Services then was transferred but had to wait for ages. When I'd given my details I was told and I quote this one Quote:

The bank are no longer dealing with this account and you will have to phone Brunswick Collection Services .... on the 0870 number on your letter!

To say I was rather sickened is an understatement... I'm sure the girl I spoke to on the 0113 number was exactly the same one that took my payment on the 0870.. she sounded exactly the same with the same name??? MMMM! I think the experssion I'd use is here FLY Cute! NOT Angry

Anyone got any comments on this one?
