SMS scam messages - 0871 5720043 (Read 4,044 times)

matchstickman21 Newbie Offline Posts: 4 Dorset Gender:	SMS scam messages - 0871 5720043 Oct 2^nd, 2007 at 1:16pm Been getting nuisance SMS scam text messages requesting I call 08715720043 . The text is coming from a name rather than a specific number, so Orange cannot do anything to stop it. Anyone know who might be originating these or how to get them stopped? ~ Edited by Dave: Thread title amended

The number 0871 572 is owned by 7Tel (aka FireFly Telecom) - their website is http://www.fireflytelecom.com/. It seems that their customer services have an 0871 number too... however, there are email addresses on the website so you can contact them and enquire about who is calling you.

Don't call the 0871 number as it is 10ppm... unsurprisingly the most expensive one...

I've also reported my ongoing problem to the Police - who say they cannot do anything unless a crime is committed! Have to see if Firefly Telecom will respond. Thanks again.
