I think this a scam 0871 951 1063 (Read 7,002 times)

gruntfuttock Newbie Offline Posts: 2	I think this a scam 0871 951 1063 Nov 27^th, 2007 at 4:01pm I was called today, the phone rang once, and then went silent, I retreived the number and called it, a man called john spoke then a cheesy american woman asked me to leave a message. They never called back, I was on for about 3 seconds, beware! Anyone know how to find the callers ID?

gruntfuttock Newbie Offline Posts: 2	Re: I think this a scam 0871 951 1063 Reply #2 - Nov 27^th, 2007 at 6:35pm Sorry Heinz for nearly making you blow a fuse, my customers sometimes use 0871 numbers and I thought quite innocently, one had called me, you know, it is called a simple mistake. I just thought someone may be able to help. By the way what is a CLI?

Call centres using modern systems can put any number they like on their CLI (even false ones) to get you to call all sorts of numbers, or just a central Customer Service point. eg. Your CLI (if you haven't witheld your number) would be your normal number.
