What time of day is it? If there's more than one call, do they occur within a short space of time or are they spread over days, weeks or months?

You say you're using broadband. Do you still have your old dial-up modem connected to the PC? If so, you may have inadvertently downloaded a rogue dialer at some time which is calling out without you knowing about it; I would suggest removing the modem.

Recommend you also try installing and running some or all of the following (free) anti-malware programs:

Spybot Search & Destroy
Ad-Aware 2007 Free
Microsoft's Windows Defender
