Dec 7th, 2007 at 12:41am

Hi people im looking for a Geographical number for 08717034768 can anyone help? The phone number is for the the switchboard for the queen margaret university in Edinburgh. This allows u to dial into student residency and the uni makes a nice fee... So would b nice to be able to do this using a geographical number to save me some cash while talking to the women lol

I presume it's an automated system that requests the extension number. What message does it answer with?

Can you tell us any more about the system? What is the operator? eg Dog n Bone Zone, Keycom/Keytalk etc Is there a website?

Does any number appear on the receiver's caller display?

With it only being one number we're after, it isn't easy to find.

Weird website...  it allowed me to create an account with totally ficticious details, including a random credit card number and arbitary extension.  You would have thought it would at least check that it was valid...  anyway, it finally revealed a customer service number of 0870 444 5816 (or dial *6 from your room phone).

Still not much help I guess, but at least it's another number to play with..

Hello

I got through to a switchboard on 01314740000, it asked me to say the name of the person or department I wished to speak to. Try saying the name via this number.

Hope that helps!

The prefix 0871 703 is allocated to Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd. In the Edinburgh (0131) code there is one prefix allocated to Gamma: 0131 202, change date 01/2004.

There are quite a few numbers in service at the beginning of that range and these appear to be allocated to customers with no relation to one another. I did not find the QMU number amongst those, although that's not to say that it isn't.
