Which 016 number isn't right? What is wrong with it? Have you tried the 0800 numbers in the unverified database?

Right, so 01634 793500 is not correct. Have you tried the other 01634 numbers in the database? How about the 0800 numbers (as I mentioned before)? Please try the other numbers before reporting back.

Admin: None of the 01634 numbers in the database work. Can they be removed from the database please?

I don't understand what BT has to do with anything? 0800 numbers are free from any landline, and you can use a call through number (020 0222 0700) to dial 0800 numbers from a mobile.

Vanquis is also part of Provident Financial - their direct customer services number (according to the database) is 01274 304304, or their switchboard is 01274 733321 or 01274 731111.

Please try all of the numbers above and let us know how you get on.

Hi there could you explain what you mean by the term CALL THROUGH I have not heard this term before.
I have just dialed (020 0222 0700) and an automated voice say please dial the number you wish to call.

Does this mean that mobile numbers are free if prefixed with (020 0222 0700) and also who provides this service.

All UK mobile providers (shame on them) charge premium rates for those calling most 0500, 0800 and 0808 numbers whereas, of course, such calls should be free.

Those with mobile contracts which allow them 'free' (i.e. inclusive) calls to UK geographical numbers can use either the 02002220700 or the 02002220900 gateway (CallThrough) numbers to dial 0800 numbers from their inclusive minutes.  One or other works on each of the UK mobile networks.

The gateway numbers can also be used to access international freephone numbers (00800 numbers)

What sort of answer are you looking for?

Also, we already know the 01634 numbers are no longer in operation (as you have said many times before). Did you try the 0800 numbers? What did they say?

It what way are they "not working"? - please say as it may be relevant.

For example, are they not recognised, in which case the office may have moved. Or do they give a recording giving out the 0870 number? In which case they may still be at that location but just forcing callers to ring the premium number.

I have just call 01634 793615 and it answers with a recording giving out the 0870 8507755 number.
