I suspect that they have changed the ranges that they accept calls on, but if the 0800 number works, there is no really point trying to search them out at present.

Whenever i ranged its says please dial 0870*** number. And the 0800 7839003 number is for different dipartment and they don't del with Vanquis Bank...... So Please remove all these number. Thank you.

Quite a few answer as personal voicemail and say that the person can now be contacted on 0871...... What a nice image this company is portraying. The numbers that answer with a menu are 01634 793604 and 605.

Hi,
Does anyone know of an alternitive Number for regestering your credit card for Vanquis bank, Infact it would be handy to have the customer servises number to. I just tried to worm my way through to an 0800 number and asked them to transfer me but of course they say sorry we can't. I now have sky broadband and talk BUT it's all well and good having free 0845 and free 0870 numbers, but you can't use these numbers till after 6pm to 6am the next day. Some companies are catching on to what us public are trying to do and they are changing there numbers constant. Please if anyone has an alternitive vanquis activation number to activate the credit card,,,, get back to me. the number i have is 0871-770-4770

I've joined your posting onto the existing thread for Vanquis Bank. It would be helpful if you post the 0800 number(s) you've tried unsuccessfully as this might help others.

There are a number of entries in the database for Vanquis Bank and you might like to try those numbers. The 0871 number you quote isn't listed there, so perhaps you can let me know if you find a suitable alternative (including what it is) so I can add it to the database.

The best person to help is you as you have tried the number! In future, when you post a report of a non-working number like this, please give the number or numbers you are referring to.

The main non-geographic premium number is 0871 770 5555 which is answered by an IVR (menu) with the following options:
1. Report card lost or stolen
2. Already Vanquis customer (requests 16 digit account number)
3. Information on how to apply for a Vanquis card or enquire about existing application

Some simple digging using the information (numbers) already in the database as a starting point yields the answers:

Firstly, this same IVR, referred to as the "Main menu" is also on 0800 781 6314 and 01634 816370.
Option 2, Customer Services with a prompt for the account holder's account number, can be reached on 01634 816351.
To be put straight to a customer services operator (or into a queue for one), call 01634 816316 or 0800 377 7333 or 0800 019 0537.
For Lost & Stolen, call 01634 816350 or 0800 783 9003.

As there didn't appear to be an alternative I called 08007816314 and selected option 2 (existing customers), enterered my card number when prompted, then entered my dob when prompted, and then it said "thank you, your card has now been activated" - so just a heads up that this number works for activation.

Just tried the 368 number and it works, but it just sounds like the same prompt as option 2 on the 0800 no (Except with welcome to vanquis card activation line), they're listed together though so people have the choice.

Just to advise that the 3 main alternatives 01 numbers listed for Vanquis Bank (08717 705 555) - 01634 816387/816324/816350 connect to a recording of an engaged tone.. they are NOT engaged.. but have a recording placed on them to make you think they are..

The following 0800 number continues to work: 0800 7816314

I will look to amend the listings.
