Looking at BT Directory Enquiries reveals nothing.

The local code is 01730. A Google of "Independent Transport Associates" 01730 reveals one page which is a subsidiary of ITAL:

It gives a fax number of 01730 235301. With it ending 01, the number before may be the general number: 01730 235300. This answers as "IRCAS Payments and information line" and this is the alternative for 0870 067 1303 which is given on the IRCAS contact page. This number is now in the verified database. It shows we are getting warm - it's quite likely other numbers into the office are 01730 2353xx and possibly other nearby numbers.

Indeed, a quick try of the 0844 5449123 number gives the same menu as is on 0870 0671303 and 01730 235300, so this is the number that both the 0844 and 0870 direct to. The entry in the database has been amended accordingly.

Hi,

I wanted to resurrect an old thread to let you know there is an 0845 number for IRCAS Operations it is 0845 4348292.

I have no affiliation with Ircas, but received a demand letter from them yesterday. Someone had used our exact address and postcode (with a different name) when they were caught without a ticket. I couldn't find a way to notify them, so using the hints in this thread managed to get through to someone. There apparently isn't a DDI for the above 0845 number, but at least it will get you through to a real person and doesn't cost as much as 0844. It was free for me as 0845 numbers are included in our monthly package from BT.

Hello Yossarian and welcome to SAYNOTO0870.COM. Thanks for posting about this, it's much appreciated. Please provide any further feedback via the Requests section of the forum and I will see that necessary changes are made.

I found that the Automated Payment and Information Line which is an IVR (menu) on 0844 544 8458 and 0845 434 8292 is also on 01730 235302 (it goes to it after saying to hold). I also put a note to say that the 0845 number might be cheaper than the 0844 one (and indeed the 01730 one for those with BT and who don't have inclusive calls).
