Alliance and Leicester Internet Banking Helpline
Mar 11th, 2008 at 8:02am

Does anyone have a geographical or 0800 number for the Alliance and Leicester Internet Banking Helpline (0844 800 1144)?  We have a few problems accessing accounts online and we have already spent over an hour on the phone while they (fail to) sort it out!
The 08000 numbers already listed (I tend to use 08000 566066) on the 'Saynoto0870' site allow access to credit cards, current account and savings, but when you get to talk to an advisor they say that the internet helpline is different and they can't put you through.  They claim that they have to send an internal e-mail to the Internet Banking Team to pass on the problem ... and they don't give out any e-mail addresses, so far as I can tell.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Thanks Heinz, .... but how do I do that?  I've searched high and low for a secure e-mail link on the A & L site ... and failed.  There is a 'my messages' link when you are logged on to the account, but that is only for messages A & L have sent me.  I can't see how to sent a message to them!!  Any hints?

Thanks!  You're marvellous. Very helpful!  As you say 'They don't make it easy'.  We'll see whether they can sort it.
