Can anyone supply a geographical number to match please. I have tried the 0800 Orderline number which they say is also changing to an 0844 number soon, but cannot get them to give me a number nor transfer me. Thanks, Matthew

Just because the NGN is changing does not mean that the (underlying) alternative has to change too. That doesn't mean that it won't change. Have you tried the 01274 alternatives and have you been told they will change or do they not work? Huh

If they work, can you provide the new 0844 customer services number so that the database entry can be amended with it? Also, what is/are the new 08 order numbers which need adding to the database? An entry has been submitted to the database with 0871 9870222 on, which is presumably orders, although it doesn't say.

The website contact page gives 0871 987 0111 for internet customer services.

Can you advise as to how these would best be listed in the database?

I have joined your question to the one on Grattan posted only the other day.

I ask the same question - do the numbers already in the database work?

Also, what is this 0844 number for - customer services, orders, faxes???

Hi, the 01274 numbers are for orders only. When you ring these you are given options, none of which are for Customer Services. I asked to be transferred and was given the 0871 number each time. I did try tonight an 0800 number listed (sorry I forget exactly) and waited for a real person. This person actually tansferred me to Customer Care!

I do know that Customer Care are in Sheffield, so maybe an 0114 number lurks somewhere.

There is a recorded message saying that the numbers are changing to 0844/0871 but as you rightly say, there must be a geo number still there somewhere.

As an aside, I had a right row with Grattan who completely refused to help me!

08445565566 I believe is the new order number.

As always, I ask people to report issues with numbers so that they can be removed to stop others using them. Those that do not wish to say which those numbers are effectively leaving us to try them all. I for one am not into guessing and I'm not psychic. I remind all users that we all put our time in for nothing and that this isn't a paid for service.

I have removed the 01274 571522 number from the entry. The entry also lists a freephone number.

Which number did you try? You need to post it! What was the 0871 number? We are not going to ring all the numbers, covering the same track as you have evidently done. Thus, in answer to your question, you can update the site!

anonyy, you have dealings with this company and so you are in a position to help out with information. No mention of the number you are looking for an alternative for.

I cannot over emphasise that this site works by everyone helping everyone else. It is not for a select group to provide alternatives (and research them) to others.

Similarly, where numbers listed in the database are not suitable alternatives, then those who use them should report which they are so that they can be removed so as to stop other users wasting their time. This helps improve the quality of the listings.

I and others put a lot of time in researching alternatives, often looking up details of companies we have never had dealings with to help those who do. I encourage all users to join and help out whenever you can by providing any information you come across and notifying us of non-working numbers and new numbers.

i dont know why my post has been put here, but anyway in response to dave and catj. i dont know why you have directed your replies to me in that tone and manner as i am simply asking like anyone else ever done on this site. i feel you have singled me out.

i have checked the listings you have on this site for freemans - 0844 556 4444 as i said i tried

the 0114 has gone too; anyone who check the listings would have found that out. i have already made reference to that. the new one is the 01274 number.

Dave, i have an account with them but does not mean i know anything about their numbers so why you say i should help out when clearly i came here to ASK for an update/help is strange.

@catj what do you mean you are not going to tell which they are, i inserted the 0844 number and it came up with one official and one or two unverified entries so i dont know why you said that.

@ Dave if your having problems with people who are not updating the database then i suggest you send an email to everyone asking them to update this database with any new info.
