Are 0800 free phone numbers free when dialed as part of a tiscali anytime package? Have asked Tiscali several times but they won't reply.

AFAIK, freephone numbers are free from all landline providers on all tariffs whether they be inclusive ones or not. I have never heard of them being chargeable and if anyone knows differently, then they should name and shame the provider.

Freephone numbers begin 0800, 0808 and some older ones start 0500.

Thanks Dave, why can't providers reply to emails?
Changed over to Tiscali on 14th March, took 26days to complete and BT tried to charge £116,33 for correcting a fault at their exchange. Eventialy deleted the charge today after threatening me with £7.50 charge for delay paying and charge for debt collectors if required.
How many people would have given in and paid?

Finally had a reply from Tiscali today confirming that they do not charge for 0800 numbers.
Suspect it may have been prompted by a local radio comsumer programme.

Not with the BT 'In Contact' card, 0800 and 0500 numbers do not work unless they are dialed (via the card) as normal dialled and chargeable numbers.
