Devon County Council - Exeter

There are several numbers for DCC at Exeter. 01392 382000 which is listed is NOT DCC but a telecoms Co.
0845 1551004 (possibly switchboard) is always busy and there is no known geo No. Beware this no. has a long announcement then you find you are in a never ending queue.
Anyone know the real geo switchboard No.?

I called 01392 382 000, they answer  "General Enquiries" and when asked confirm that they are Devon County Council

The 0845 number in the database is for general enquiries 0845 1551015 and 01392 382000 answers with the same recording. I have therefore listed it alongside and verified it.

There are some geographical numbers on the Internet Archive, see here and here.

Another number which is down as "Devon in Touch" and "Information Centre" is 01392 383444. This answers as 382000, so they may do the same thing.

In addition, I have added two other entries which I believe are correct due to the recordings on them out of hours. If they are not suitable alternatives, then please post here.

Devon County Council             0845 1551004       01392 382590             Roads & Transport
Devon County Council             0845 1551010       01392 382675             Recycling & Waste
Devon County Council             0845 1551019       01392 382059             Schools & Education

In any case, I assume that the general enquiries number will put you through to any department, and may therefore be a suitable alternative for all 0845 numbers.
