I have the option to automatically notify me of new updates enabled and it normally works.

I manually ran the notify me of new upgrades and then upgraded to v 2.0.0.16 and it then informed me of Fifefox 3.0.1 being available when I ran notify me of upgrades again manually. I have now downloaded and installed v3.0.1

Meanwhile the problem with the "connection has been reset messages" stopped happening even before I installed v3.0.1 of Firefox......

If it was the site for sure then loads of other people would have problems - me included (I use IE7).

Assuming it's not sorted what i'm thinking of is the error is a possible 'time-out' type error however normally you get no connection type error instead! That's why I was thinking maybe a FF setting and/or software on your computer.

Let us know if you still have the problem.
