Two days ago, a woman wrote a letter to the Telegraph complaining about the Student Loans Company's 0870 number.

I wrote a letter in reply, giving details of the site, but clearly wasn't the only one:

To me, it seemed bizarre that anyone would pay £2 for a phonecall without trying to find another number, but I suppose I'm forgetting that users of this site are still in a minority.
