Kings Place (concert hall)

Kings Place is a new concert hall in London, near Kings Cross station. I've seen it advertised with an 0844 number for the box office.

The strange thing is, their own website gives a geographical number:

Box Office 020 7520 1490

Kings Place
90 York Way
London
N1 9AG

However, their brochures advertise the number 0844 264 0321 and call it local rate! See here:
http://issuu.com/kpmf/docs/autumn_brochure
(last but one page)

I think 0844 264 numbers are actually only 1p/minute, so may well be cheaper for people without inclusive calls (daytime with BT, etc.) But obviously for mobiles the other number is preferable.

I'll add this info to the database, and may well contact Kings Place to suggest they advertise the 020 number alongside the 0844, and also include correct pricing information.

I posted the other unverified entry having noted the same information as jrawle. I didn't realise that the 0844 number was a 1p/min one.

Not strictly relevant to this forum but I went to a concert (Oriion Quartet playing Beethoven) there recently and the hall looks and sounds great. £2 per ticket discount for booking online. No booking fees. Other concert halls and theatres please take note.

Sorry, I did notice that, but only after posting. It didn't seem to come up the first time I searched, so maybe it's a site glitch?

I had just read about the hall. It looks interesting, but being a saynoto0870 campaigner, my attention was then drawn by the 0844 number!

I removed one of the entries. The reason you couldn't find it was because (IIRC) the geographical number had been submitted with a space after it, hence the search engine didn't pick it up.
