Alternative number for Ryanair

Could anyone please explain the 1891 number as I have not heard of this before. I found an alternative (+353) number to call for Ryanair (instead of 0870) (which is very helpful) but wonder what the 1891 represents? Joy

Welcome to the SayNo forums joydey.
I assume you are referring to the
1899
text beside the entries in the database. That (like 18185 and 18866) is an indirect access calls provider and is one of the companies through which calls to Ireland can be made far more cheaply than through BT and the like.

Thank you. This site is very helpful indeed. I shall have a look at the 1899 etc prefixes and see if I have any joy.

There are dial-through numbers there that allow calls to Ireland for 0.5p/min. You can call these from your phone without having to sign up for a new service or giving any payment details.
The rate is cheaper than 1899's 1p/min, although once connection charges are taken into account, it'll depend how long the call is as to which one saves the most money.
