Unfortunately, the 0800 number is ASDA insurance and the 0113 number is ASDA switchboard, who would not put me through to ASDA Direct. Instead gave me the 0844 number to ring. thanks ofr trying. Anyone else with more sugggestions?

You might like to try 0500 100055 - it is ASDA customer service number (apparently!)

Sorry to say this but I don't think that's the way to do it. You should have sent an email to Asda telling them that you won't be buying anything from them because of their 0844 number.

My motto is: If I have to ring a premium rate number, then I don't buy it. Simple as that. If everybody did this, then premium rate numbers would disappear quicker than you can say 'phone scam'.

I have found this case study from Brooklyn Consulting with Asda. Perhaps that is where calls are answered.

they dont do emails on asda direct only the 0844 number, i just called the number to get my local store's number and made an enquiry that way as its something i need to try on anyway.

A search of the database for Asda returns quite a few entries. The menu on 0500 100055 has an option for Asda Direct.

What is the 0844 number you have for Asda Direct? And what sort of product is the enquiry relating to?
