A Google of walkley medical 0114 reveals this page which gives 0114 234 0521.

This number just keeps ringing and ringing so it must be the old number they replaced with the 0845.

Any other way of finding an alternative its terrible that these places swap for one reason only to make money

I had to use the 0845 as my daughters really ill and needed an emegency appointment but if anyone can find an alternastive for future use and obviously to help others it would be much appreciated

Incidentally, if the old number just rings and does not even play a message giving the 0845 number, this is yet another example of dangerous practice by doctors' surgeries. The 192.com site, and no doubt printed directories, still give the 0114 number. If someone needed to call a doctor urgently and used one of these directories to find them number, they wouldn't be able to get through.

You should bring this up with the doctors or practice management. Doing so in writing might be a good idea.
