Complete Entertainment Exchange (CeX)
Jan 10th, 2009 at 1:22pm

I've just submitted an alternative number into the database for CeX. However, I've put the wrong name in - it should be "Complete Entertainment Exchange". Also, could it be noted that they've moved from a call centre base (0845 numbers) to email primarily - wecare@webuy.com (see here)

Could the entry be updated to reflect this - the title corrected and a note made about email contact? I don't know whether the Watford number still works, but most shops will still be listed with the 0845 number, so best to keep it there for the time being.

Also, this number - 020 7916 1234 - might also be useful as an alternative. Not sure if it goes to a store or an office in London.

I've verified the 0845/01923 set and added the link to the email address.

I have left 020 7916 1234 off as there is, as yet, no information where this is. Can you find out what branch it is for and if that branch is still open?

That's what I found, but I would like confirmation that this branch still exists before adding it to the database. There is no branch in "Camden" on the list, so is it titled as something else?

The company is a chain called CEX which is similar to Cash Converters - they exchange games, DVDs etc

I want to be able to call them to ask if they have particular items in stock.

I'm not sure where the HQ is, but the Branch I want to contact is in the subject title.

Thanks in advance.

Just had a look at the CEX Website and randomly picked a store: https://uk.webuy.com/stores/store_details.php?branchId=24#.U9FszbR0xEY

It would appear they have NO contact info for the store.

So I tried several others, all the same..

I have sent them an e-mail kindly asking.. Why..  Huh

They apparently moved to a e-mail/web  based customer service yonks ago.

See this thread : http://www.saynoto0870.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi?num=1231593768

They choose not to publish phone numbers.
E-Mail . Send a message via https://uk.webuy.com/support/or call in store thats all they currently offer.

They apparently dont use non geographical numbers anymore . Wink

To confirm, CeX telephone numbers are for internal use only by associates.

CeX Customer Service moved to a WeCare E-Mail/On-line service only, to help avoid long queue times and reduce customer calling costs. CeX do have internal e-mail between stores, and some stores are willing to offer their personal e-mail addresses to 'regular' customers for stock questions.

This said, the website is linked to the POS system, which means that the stock check on the right hand-side of the website, should be pretty accurate, on the whole.

Overall and to answer your question, there is no CeX 'Customer Services' number - all questions must be directed to the 'Global WeCare' team based (mainly) in India - who can liaise, where required with the stores concerned. However, some 'legacy' stores still have telephone numbers- although there not really intended to be used by customers.
