I have tried various different numbers listed for Tesco Personal Finance but all of them are either no longer in service or only get through to the Tesco credit card department or to the credit card lost and found unit.  None of them get through to a line connected with their Internet Saver account.

Unfortunately as one of the most vicious and persistent abusers of 0845 and 0870 numbers in the UK Tesco seems to be hard at work to close down any ways of avoiding using its 0845 number to contact it.

I tried to open an Internet Saver account with these clowns last Wednesday 7th Jan while they were still paying a 1.75% first year bonus at 10pm at night but was persistently told by their website that the online application facility was unavailable.  Since then I have been unable to make contact with them by phone as even the official 0845 number is completely jammed with calls and you cannot get through.

I would be tempted to tell them where to stick their savings product except that even without the 1.75% bonus their current 3.60% rate is still much higher than most of the opposition for an Instant Access savings account.

I realise its a big job but a major clear up of the numbers listed for Tesco Personal Finance would now appear to be in order.

I have a Tesco Savings Account that I'm trying to close and have tried calling some of the numbers that are on the database but each time I call these I get put through to credit card departments. Does anyone know which one, if any, will put me through to Savings? I've also tried an old number I have which I've had since I opened this account 0141 567 0356 but doesn't seem to answer.
