This website gives 0870 063 8409 which is less worse than the 0871 number.

There are other companies with similar names, a request for an alternative number for one of which was made only a couple of weeks ago. According to the requestor it also goes by the name of CrimeGuardUK.

Note that this thread contains reference to another company with a similar name based in Leeds and I believe it has no connection with the one you are looking for.

A lookup of the registration information for Shadow Solutions' internet address gives (Whois shadow-uk.com):

Only the company itself knows whether there is a number underneath the 0871 number and what it might be. Just because it hasn't been found doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

It is possible for a 08 number to be answered by voicemail or routed straight to a mobile.

At present, the 0870 number looks to be your best alternative.
