I have just received the below email from 1301/Zerop today saying they are closing the service down due to lack of commercial viability and encouraging me to use Pennyphone instead (a service that uses 084/7 numbers with all the inherent inefficiency with non connected calls etc that entails and also not fixed at a set amount per call).
Surely the main reason the service wasn't viable though is that it was never cheaper than
www.18185.co.ukAnyhow at least they have never billed me for the handful of calls I have made with them as I presumably never reached their credit limit at which a payment is taken.
Quote:Dear Customer,
We at ZeroP have always strived to bring you the best rates in the market to make cheap national and international phone calls.
Unfortunately the low return on investment makes this service commercially no longer viable for us.
We have therefore decided to discontinue ZeroP on 01.12.2010.
As an alternative to ZeroP we can strongly recommend you a call-through service operated by us =>
www.pennyphone.co.uk If you have further questions, please feel free to contact our support team at info@zerop.co.uk.
Yours Sincerely,
ZeroP-Team
