Thanks for such a quick response.

I have just tried the two numbers you quoted. Unfortunately each has an out of hours answerphone quoting another number, 020 7365 3369 for customer Service. When I tried that number I had the same result. The Connect number (08708 45 45 45) is live and answers as "Connect by hertz member care centre"

If you have BT line rental, that 0870 number will be included in your package if you have their weekend call package,(their basic one) over the weekend, and evening and weekend if you have that package, and at all times if you have their "anytime" package.

It's a care share scheme. Welcome though BT's including these numbers in its free call scheme is, the increasing use of mobiles means the importance of a site like this is not diminished.

At present I can only advise you to try what numbers have already been found and see if those answering them will deal with your "Connect by Hertz" enquiry.

The customer service and reservations numbers we have are all 020 numbers and there certainly appear to be more Hertz numbers in the range 020 7365 336x. Check the database for [color=blue][b]hertz[/b][/color], the numbers have changed since you posted your request. ;)

A little more digging reveals a few more Hertz numbers, including the one for Connect by Hertz.

The Hertz Central Reservations menu, which has options for more than just reservations, is on 020 7365 3340, and is the same as 0870 848 4848.

The other Hertz Reservations line is 020 7365 3338 and is identical to 0870 844 8844.

Also, in the 020 7365 3xxx range is:

3342 to 3348 and 3350 Hertz Special Services Department
3349 Hertz Reservations (straight to agent)
3336 Hertz White something?

3381 Connect by Hertz (identical to 0870 845 4545)
3392 UK Special Accounts
3394 Hertz at IBM
3394 Hertz White something? (same as 3336)
3396 HR Employee Care Centre
3399 Hertz UK Customer Service (same as 3369)

3400 TNT International Tracker

If anyone knows the published 0870 (or 084) numbers for these, then please post them on this thread and I will add them to the database.

I'm looking for the geographical number for Hertz Gatwick Airport. The published number is 0870 846003 which is similar to the Heathrow number shown in the main catalogue, here, of 846006. As far as I can see, each Hertz office has its own geographical number and its own 0870 number (so you pay a lot of money to rent a car and have to pay £££ to phone them with a query. Sad

Bingo! Hertz Gatwick South Terminal geo number is 01293 602230 I did not check out the other number xxx555 as the lady was very helpful in answering my query and sounded busy so xxx555 might work...or might not. I found that I can extend my (low price budget) rental over the phone without going to a local Hertz office for new paperwork unlike a couple of other rental companies, for what it's worth.

You guys do a grand job and I use and recommend this site to many people on other forums. I think that these premium numbers should be abolished as in many cases the person who actually pays the cost is not the person who makes the call. If people want to 'buy' information or services over the phone then they should use their own credit or debit cards, not the phone system...but I am preaching from the congregation to the vicar, methinks Wink
