Does anyone know a standard rate number for the Environment Agency river watch line?

What is the number you already have? Please read the instructions and include at least some basic detail.

If you are talking about the Floodline, there is already a thread here.

The number I have is 0906 6197733.   Although not an 08 number, it is a premium rate of 60p a minute.  It is not the floodline, it gives realtime river water levels for the North West, useful for Anglers, boaters etc.

Hi and welcome to SAYNOTO0870.COM.

The information on Rivercall is here:

http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/recreation/fishing/31443.asp...

I'm not sure how many rivers have BT landlines available to those fishing and boating. On the page it says:

Quote:
CALL PRICING INFORMATION

Calls to 0906 numbers cost 60p per minute at all times (BT Premium Rate). Please note Payphones and  non-BT network providers may vary. All Environment Agency profits will be used to fund fishery projects.

It mentions Payphones but doesn't bother saying how much it costs. From a BT Payphone it costs £2.86 pence per minute.

My best advice to you is to keep subscribed to this thread, so that you receive an e-mail when a response is posted. That way, if we do come across an alternative in the future, you'll get to find out.  Wink
