Halifax gloucester

hi, i am looking for an 0800 or 01... number for halifax branch in westgate st, glos.

this is because due to the recent weather i was unable to deposit funds, leading to me going into my overdraft by a few pounds for a few days.

as you probably know halifax are now charging £1 a day for this, and i was hoping something could be sorted out between us, and phoning an 0845 number (they refuse to answer emails) kind of negates me trying to get any charges withheld or whatever.

hmmm...catch 22. i'd like to tell them sooner rather than later, but will be stuck indoors with the baby for a bit longer so visting the branch is out of the question

thanks for any help in advance

Have you tried one of the many alternative Halifax numbers in the database? Your local branch will probably have to communicate it to head office, so best to speak to one of the customer service people there about it.

I had some trouble with Halifax a few years ago and I managed to get to someone who was indeed very helpful and did sort out my problem.

As I said it was a few years ago and therefore I do not know if she is still there, but it is worth a try.

email.....

VickyGee@Halifax.co.uk     Wink

Or if you want to go straight to the top and write to the Chief Executive of Lloyds Banking Group who own  Halifax

email.....

eric.daniels@lloydstsb.co.uk      Wink

Hi and welcome to SAYNOTO0870.COM.

The main number for Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) enquiries is 0113 380 9574, and I believe that this is suitable for most or all types of enquiry.

A simple Google of halifax westgate 01452 returns links to pages with numbers for this branch. I can see 01452 365709 and 01452 301011.

I was just about to urge caution ringing your local branch because banks usually channel telephone calls to central call centres. I assumed Halifax was the same.

However, the Branch Locator on the Halifax website gives the geographical number, 01452 365709, for this branch. Did you not check this first????  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Huh Huh

With NatWest and Lloyds, this only happens if the branch has not answered after three or four rings. The call centre will then notify  the branch to phone you back. This has happened to me at both banks, so I know it works

thankyou sherbert thats really helpful.

dave, of course i checked everything else first including trawling google and the halifax website. why would i post here if i hadn't? i've read the posting rules. i couldn't come up with anything, so sorry for being so intensely stupid and asking for some help. i would call you lots of expletives but i actually want to use this site in the future to help others, not shoot them down.
