Radio stations usually have non-geographic numbers for their studios so as to avoid being perceived as serving a small locality.

It is also often the case these days that programmes are syndicated across different stations owned by the same company. Thus, the studio where the presenter is based is not forced to be that of the station being listened to.

The national station Absolute Radio was one of the early adopters of 03 numbers. Today I have discovered a few more to add to that list.

Orion Media's networked programmes use 0330 6600 111 and its stations, BRMB is 0330 6600 964 and Beacon Radio Shropshire is on 0330 660 1031.

Satellite radio station Solar Radio is on 0330 660 0129.
