Hi

According to Companies House, HIFI-TOWER LIMITED was dissolved on 12 May 2009 although still seem to be operating via ebay. No luck with a number.

Surely what Mainbass has said, should be setting alarm bells ringing in your ears?

Just couldn`t leave this one alone. Further enquiries suggest that:

HIFI-TOWER LIMITED was set up in 2007 by a German national called SEBASTIAN MUELLER of

UHLANDSTRASSE 191
10623
BERLIN
GERMANY   (no listing in the Berlin phone book)

Using the services of a company formation agent called Go Ahead Service Ltd of

69 GREAT HAMPTON STREET
BIRMINGHAM
WEST MIDLANDS
B18 6EW

Website     http://www.go-ahead.de/  German speakers may make more sense of it than me.

The company was struck of for non filing of accounts in 2009.

The UK address given on the website appears to be a rented mailbox from
http://www.space-saver.co.uk/secure-mailbox-services.html

Therefore, you are dealing with a German person using a non-existant ltd company name, either via his own website direct or via ebay, amazon etc, with no physical presence in the UK.

I wouldn`t rush to do business with this seller.

Tommy,

I am going to stick my neck out and say the following:

Do you REALLY feel that post was appropiate ? Mainbass obv went out of his/her way to do some searching for you, and found out that it appears the company is "fradulent"... therefore I pray your purchase does not fail or break and you need to get it fixed...

Perhaps you need to appreciate the time spent by others helping you...

Angry

The UK address for Hifi-Tower is Space Saver Storage, Waterham Storage Park, Highstreet Road, Waterham, Faversham, Kent ME13 9EJ
it's only a forwarding address where they receive returns on Hifi-Towers behalf
I found that out by calling 01227 751175 but dont bother them unless you need more details
I dont know if items are shipped from the UK or from Germany
I do know that they sell on both Amazon and on Ebay where they appear to have very good feedback
I suggest for added security if you purchase through them then use Amazon or Ebay where you get buyers protection
Failing that try and pay with Paypal
You only get credit card protection for orders over £100

Personally I am sick of coming across 0844 or 0870 numbers without any alternatives

I suggest anyone feeling the same should email the company through their website and complain

I usually tell them that I refuse to deal with companys that make a premium off my calls and will buy from elsewhere wherever possible
If enough complain they may learn that such numbers are not good for business

Having had another look at the site and company, I can only assume they solely operate out of Germany. They have a German VAT number.

On this assumption, I would suggest the 0870 number directs to a German contact number possibly via VOIP.  This would mean there is NO 01/02/03 number for them.
