I am a UK ex-pat living in Japan, but handling my UK affairs through internet banking with the Abbey. My registered address is my mothers back in the UK, so all communication gets sent there.

Apparently they have just now (after 4 years) decided to flag my account as suspicious - probably due to the UK address and occasional Japanese purchases.

A lock was placed on my card and a letter was sent to my mum's place asking me to call FCO on 0845 351 2275. From outside the UK this number is no good.

I searched on here but could only find other departmental numbers for Santander. Can anyone help?

There is a verified entry for Abbey, 01908 342961             Financial Crime Operations / Clearing / Fraud teams. This has no 08 number by it, so if you try it and it works, let me know and I will add this 0845 number.
