I have just contacted Orange to claim a discount from my Home Ultra Broadband phone Package as I`ve also now signed up to a pay monthly mobile account.
Not only have I got my discount but have also been told that 0845 & 0870 are now included in my landline package.
In addition, the extremely helpful lady I spoke to tells me that when BT upgrades or in some way changes their equipment in my local exchange, Orange will no longer need to pay BT to use that equipment & a saving of £10 per month will be passed on to me. Apparently this is not done automatically & I will need to check from time to time to see if I am eligible for this further discount.
I`m not too sure how it all works, maybe someone more knowledgable in the financial and technical workings of the BT/other provider relationships may be able to shed more light?
Meanwhile, other Orange customers might wish to check if they are paying too much.
